What's in my bag? - All Stars Tour - Kate

Today I have a guest post from Kate from The life of a Perpetual Student, its another what’s in my bag post! I hope you enjoy it!

Hi Imysworld fans!

Here's my What's in my Bag post!!

I have relatively little in my bag now! It can change from day-to-day, but in the summer I really don't have much to take around with me! That all changes when the uni term comes!!

bag1

My bag is a lovely soft brown leather bag from TJ Hughes (now extinct discount shop), but I don't know what brand it is. I love it because it is like those old-style school satchels! However, being an across-body bag, it tends to pull on my shoulder after a couple of hours. But I love it so much I still use it!

Going clockwise:
- Of course I have my Filofax in my bag! At the moment it is my ochre personal Malden, but I will soon be switching to my crimson Malden!
- Then I have my new Moleskine GTD organiser, which I will be blogging about soon.
- My lovely 160 gb ipod classic is housed in a crumpler case. I love my ipod so much, it has ALL my music on it and isn't even 10% filled up! I need more music!
- My Iphone of course comes everywhere with me, although sometimes I forget to turn it on…
- Then I have my prescription sunglasses and the case my mum gave me for Christmas. My sunglasses are brilliant, I got them for free from Specsavers with my glasses, and I love the style of them because they are so Audrey Hepburn!
- And in conjunction with my sunglasses, on account of living in Britain, of course I have my umbrella. It can rain and be sunny (although not hot) on the same day, and I always regret not taking either of these with me when I forget!
- I have my lovely little leather coin purse I got when I was about 9, with dolphin decoration and my name branded into it! I use my pocket for cash and my Malden for cards, so I am trying to keep my coins in here because they bulge my pocket out and look silly if I keep them in there!
- I always make sure I have blotting tissues and face powder with me because I always get an oily t-zone, and whatever lip gloss I happen to have chucked in my bag.
- Then I have my keys… the 1 thing I mustn't forget, which has happened once before!!

Here is everything packed in my bag:

Looking at my stuff like this, it looks like I haven't really got a lot! But some days I have more, like chewing gum, tissues, a bottle of water etc. Sometimes I take a book with me if I'm going somewhere I will get bored, and this really weighs my bag down!
When I'm on campus, I have to take a LOT more with me than this lot! I think I'll do a What's in My Bag post about that on my blog http://thelifeoftheperpetualstudent.blogspot.com/ when I get back to uni later this month! I have a new office suitcase, which I sure will be jam-packed soon!

Thanks for reading!!

Hair Colour Changes!

Hello My Lovelies!!!

How you all have not heard from me in a very long time really have you!

Don’t worry I am absolutely fine and usual blogging shall restart either on the weekend or at the latest MONDAY!

I just wanted to give you a little insider gossip going around Imysworld, and that is me, Imy, is going to dye my hair, BLONDE, BROWN, PINK & PURPLE! Yes I mean that I'm going to have 4 coloured hair by tonight at 9pm!

Once it has been done I shall obviously take photos for you and upload them!

I am planning on having the top brown, with the blonde underneath, but underneath that I shall be having purple and pink weaved into each other! And yes I am doing it ALL MY SELF!

I am not a trained hair stylist or colourist in any shape or form! So this will all be a bit of an experiment, one which I have done before but I usually use a coloured dye by Directions, which is AMAZING! They did not accept card payments in the shop that sells them so therefore, I had to get some different dye!

I will take a Step by Step photothing!

Here are the hair dyes I bought, I just realised I forgot to buy cling film to put over my hair I do not want to dye, just to keep it separated, I will also cover the hair I don’t want pink, purple or brown in conditioner just for extra safety!

So that is my whole plan on completely changing my hair colour!

What do you all think, how much colour and brown shall I have, where shall I have it etc, shall I have any random flashes of colour too?? Oh so many decisions!

What's in My Bag - All Stars Post by Planet Millie!

Hello

Sorry I have not blogged in a while, yet again im not going to blog, im going to leave it to the LOVELY Millie from Planet Millie!!! Click here to view her lovely blog filled with fun! Yes you have guessed it, its another All Stars post, Thanks Philofaxy for this lovely idea!

I'm one of those sorry souls who suffer from bag envy.  No matter what bag I use, it is never perfect.  This is the bag I'm using at the moment:

Whats in my bag
2

It's a couple of centimetres too small for my use, which means that when it's full with everything mentioned below, I can't zip it up!  If I'm going out (to somewhere other than work), I usually take the Filofax and the iPad out.

So, here's a photo of what's inside my bag:

Whats in my bag
1

{1} My beloved Filofax.  It’s an A5 Malden.  It’s also very heavy!  It takes up most of the space in my handbag.  In the zip-up pouch I keep my work keys and my ID card for work (thus I never forget them!).

{2} Tablets!  From left to right, we have Nurofen, Anadin and a sheet of Strepsils.  I always have painkillers for headaches, which I get quite frequently.  The Strepsils are left over from a cold I had a few weeks ago.  If you ever need drugs in an emergency, ask me!

{3} I take a water bottle with me everywhere I go, so I don’t have to buy drinks.  This one, which you can’t really see in the photo, has a filter in the nozzle that filters water as you drink!

{4} House keys!  Key-rings include a floral cloth owl and some leftover work promotion items (the oval wood key-ring and the white key-ring, which is upside down. On the other side it has a ladybird).  My house key is purple and blue, and the red ‘stick’ is a torch.  The little silver bullet-shaped item is an emergency capsule to store money in (it’s empty at the moment though so don’t bother robbing me!).

{5} A packet of tissues and some Compeed blister plasters.  Because you never know when uncomfortable shoe syndrome might strike!

{6} Years ago, I got this chewing gum tin from Starbucks.  I don’t know if they still sell them, but they’re brilliant for protecting your chewing gum from getting squashed!

{7} The yellow hook is for hanging your handbag off the edge of a flat surface so you don’t have to put your bag on dirty floors.  The red tube is Hawaiian Tropic lip gloss, then there’s another packet of strepsils (in a tube this time) and a Clinique lip balm.  It’s called a Clinique Chubby Stick, and it’s a coloured lip balm, so you can colour your lips and moisturise them at the same time.

{8} The black ball of fabric is a shopping bag (save the environment and don't use plastic!).  It's turns out into a bag, and then I can roll it back up into its case afterwards.

{9} I keep my loose change in a separate purse to my main wallet.  This is more of a historical decision, because the wallet I had before the one shown here had a rip in the coin section, but I loved it so much I didn't want to stop using it.  Now I keep my change in a separate purse out of habit.  The purse shown here is a new one - a green Longchamp purse, which my Grandma bought for me.

{10} My iPad, in the case I made for it, is almost the same size as my Filofax, and I usually keep them together so that the filo protects the iPad from being bashed around in my bag.  I take my iPad to work every day, but I usually take it out of my bag if I'm going anywhere else.

{11} Cereal bars - another thing I always have in my handbag.  I am nearly always hungry!

{12} My wallet is a pink leather one from Accessorize.  It's marked because I had a stupid handbag with a navy blue lining and the colour leached from it.  I'm really particular about wallets, and this is only the second one I've had as an adult!  I will probably use this until it's in two pieces, because it's so difficult to find one that's perfect!

{13} A little medical tin (or my “ouch tin”, as I like to call it), and a hair grip.  In the tin I have various painkillers, an antiseptic wipe, some plasters and some indigestion tablets.  Prepared for any occasion, like a scout!

And that’s what’s in my bag at the moment!  I could probably lose a couple of items, but I like the fact I’m rarely without something when it’s needed.  My handbag idol is Michelle Pfeiffer in the film One Fine Day – her character is a super-woman who can do anything with the contents of her handbag!

Wasn’t this such an AMAZING post!!! I really love looking at whats in other peoples bags!!! More coming soon!!! Thank you Millie!!!!!!!!!!!

Filofax Around the World Fun

Hello Philofaxy community!

I have a big request for you, it may sound a bit odd at first but, what I am requesting is the following: -

I am looking for people to take in part and if your willing comment below and I will give you more information!

So my idea is to make up a Filofax of the world, with all the things people love about Philofaxy and their Filofaxes,  I kind of want to have a Filofax with a bit from everyone, to be noseyed at. And too see why people love Filofaxes so much!

It to be sent to different Philofaxy meet ups, around the world, with pictures and it be like a binder of history, like a Filofax museum! But with peoples views and pictures in!

I know this may all sound a bit bazzar but it all started with me thinking I should send a Filofax around the Philofaxy community, then they put in something from where they I’ve and a little description about why they love Filofaxes, I thought it would be an interesting international project!

I was talking about it on twitter and some peoples seemed quite interested! So I am wondering would you prefer to just send some stuff to me. Well anyway I would love to hear your views on this idea?

And if you are interested in taking part email me at filofaximy@live.com

Look forward to hearing from you all!!!
