Sticker Folder Idea - HELP

I was sitting at home a week or two ago and I had the GENIUS idea of a sticker folder, i.e. use an A5 Folder and some plastic wallets and then put my stickers in them.

On a trip to Staples last week there was an A5 Folder on offer so I thought it is mean to be.

I got home looked at my sticker draw with an imagination of how beautiful it would look after!

But it didn't work, it came out like this, the wallets were too heavy with more than two sheets in but then I would need hundreds of plastic wallets!

I was so sad that it didn't work.

So does anyone have a better idea for me to keep my stickers, as I want to free up the draw and have them in a tidy convenient thing, like an A5 Folder!

HELP PLEASE

Also the glue will stick to the plastic over time.

May be put a bit of cardboard in the sleeves to act as a stiffener but put some grease proof paper between the stickers and the plastic.

Or how about photo envelopes the ones with card and brown paper, punch them and use them to hold the stickers, putting some of the stickers on the outside so you know what is in each envelope?

  2. A5 photo album? they tend to have much more pages to put stuff in so each page would be less heavy if that makes sense. Then also you could see all of them properly and make an informed decision on which sticker to use ;)

  3. Imy instead of using a two ring binder, why don't you try the ones Staples sells with the four rings. I can see from your pics that the plastic pockets you used will work in a 4 ring binder, am sure that would be much better, they would be more solid having the top and bottom parts of the pockets supported.

  4. You could always stick the stickers ON the plastic wallets :) I did that when I was collecting stickers in elementary school, and they are still in good shape today, 10 years later. And they are still just as sticky :)

  5. The folder idea will still work, but you need a folder with 3 or 4 rings so the plastic sleeves don't flop with the weight of the stickers.

  6. If you put an a5 sheet of heavy paper (good stuff, or maybe cereal box or something) in each, then it will stabilise the plastic wallets so that slidyiness won't happen,

  7. Hiya,

    I bought this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002CWRTV2/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i01

    And this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002DLD09M/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00

~Both are absolutely amazing and are sturdy. I put in various pictures and stickers in them. :)

  9. Maybe you could put them in an expanding file folder? Or a binder that has 3 or 4 rings so it will stay up better :)

  10. How about filling the folder with sheets of card then stapling the sheets of stickers onto the card?

  12. Hi, Imy. Have you thought about using a binder with more rings? I organize my postage stamps in this manner, but in an A5 binder with 20 rings. You can get these very affordably at MUJI. Another option is to buy presentation binders; these have a set number of pockets per binder, but the pockets are bound, so there's much less flopping.

Finally, I've also found plastic sleeves with several smaller pockets per sheet, made for use as photo album pages. Perhaps those would work better within the 2-ring binder without flopping and pulling as much, though these inserts would probably be more expensive than the plain sleeves you have right now.

Good luck! Looking forward to seeing your solution -- and maybe you could show us more of your sticker collection too!

  13. Try a 4 ring folder - holding the inserts top and bottom will add the stability you need.

  14. How about a box file? Maybe you could sort the stickers into some of those plastic pocket things that have poppers on them - I forget the name.

  15. May I suggest that you use some of the clear plastic photo sheet protectors. That might help organize the smaller stickers that you have.

  16. May I suggest that you use the photo sheet protectors. To store some of your smaller sized stickers.
