National Stationery Week Competition Entry Information

Welcome everyone to the first post for the National Stationery Week Competition, where I will have a competition each day and then at the end of the week you will be able to send in your answers and I will give out some amazing prizes, I just have a few things I need you all to read first before you can enter!

I want to make it all simple and clear before the week starts! 

First of all, all the questions will appear on my blog and they will either be, two part questions, or two questions with a bonus question/activity, the bonus is up to you and it just means that in case of a draw, there will have two separate draws just to make the prize winner have earned it a bit more.

Please do not all rush and send in your answers each day, as it will just be far too confusing!

The amount and type of prizes will be stated on each day, one day during the week there will be more than one prize, so there will be more than one winner on that day, but that is a secret until National Stationery Week.

Each question will involve you going on to the site of the featured brand that day to find the answers. It will not be an easy contest where you can just say add me!

You do have to follow my blog as part of the terms to enter this competition!

When you send in your answers I need you to try and use a set format so I am able to announce the winners as soon as possible!

You do not need to answer every question, just answer the ones you are interested in winning and then the others you will not be included in. Please try and keep it to the format above!

This competition will be open worldwide so that means anyone in the whole world can enter. PLEASE NOTE – THIS IS OPEN WORLDWIDE!

The competition will close on 30 April 2013 at 11:59pm GMT!

All of the blog posts in this week are my own honest opinion. Even though the companies have donated some of the prizes, the majority have been bought with my own money. I have put a lot of time and effort in to setting this competition up for you all as a huge thank you for helping me get my Mulberry! I have also tried to get all my favourite bits of stationery to share with you!

On Sunday 28 April 2013 at the end of the post for that day of National Stationery Week will be the email address I need you to send all the answers to!

Any wrong answers will not be entered.

I will post the answers on my blog no later than 10 May 2013 depending on how many entries I get, I will try and post them as soon as possible.

Stationery Haul - Art Box, Cult Pens, Staples

I had to order some presents for my mums big birthday next weekend, so as I was ordering I decided to add a few things to the basket for myself! Thought I might as well have some small treats, I also ordered a birthday present for my friend!

It has taken me a while to get round to writing this, having a busy few days!

I am getting a Paperchase delivery in the next few days....

Just to let you know... As I am writing this I am listening to RUN DMC -It's Tricky you should listen too...

So now on to my Stationery Haul! It is in no certain order as since ordering things it has got all muddled I will try let you know what comes from where as I go through!

So that is all my recent Stationery purchases, I went a bit mad really, but I wanted to share it all with you!!

Staples Arc Notebook Diary Creation

I got home last night and I have a little look at my Arc notebook and at the moment I officially Love it! But I do miss my Filofax, so it wont be long before I am back in that, maybe this shall just be a notebook, but then I do not want to carry both around!

Well last night I went for a lovely walk up to the Mound...its like a small hill, its a burial chamber I believe, supposed to have a boat in there too or something?  And on my walk I thought a lot about what I wanted to do with my Arc and how I wanted to do it.

When I got home from the walk I had decided I wanted to have four boxes on the left page, for Monday-Thursday and three larger ones on the right page from Friday to Sunday, as the weekend then has more space!

What I used to do this was some pens, but I had to decide on the colour etc... I wanted to use...

In the end I went for my Neon Gelly pens... I chose Pink and Orange, Pink for the week, Orange for the weekend!

My first go at drawing lines went a bit smudged, but then all my line drawings I did seemed to get smudged I do not know what I was doing wrong!  Maybe too impatient!

My next issue after drawing all the lines was to write in the dates and days etc...

I had a go and it went WRONG I wrote Monday where Tuesday was etc.... so I had to start all over again!

This time I decided to write the numbers in a different colour to the day, I wrote the week days in neon green and weekends in neon yellow, but changed half way though to metallic pink and the neon yellow was barley viable!

Then I made the mistake of getting out my sticker collection.....oh no....

This is only half....

I decided that I should make the pages a bit prettier but I was not feeling creative at all and I feel a bit disappointed with my attempts at making it pretty!

Oh and I have used the post it note sheet as the rule, I am really not too sure how long this will last, as if I am honest, I DO NOT LIKE IT, I don't know what it is but I just do not like it!

I will do another blog post in a few days to show the final set up as my dividers should be coming today and also my little list sheet things....eeek the excitement is overwhelming!!!

Staples Arc Notebook Haul

First things first..... I HATE THIS NEW BLOGGER!!!

Now back to the subject in hand...

On Sunday at the Philofaxy Roundtable we started to discuss this new notebook from Staples called the Arc. As I do I got all excited there was lots of screaming and eeeking etc.... I feel sorry for the people listening to me!

Today at lunch time I rushed off to Staples and dragged poor Sian along!

Here are my purchases... I had to order some from Staples online which will get here tomorrow!

Online I ordered some coloured dividers and the small little note list sheet things!

I am going to try set it up as a diary, and have a dashboard at the front using one of the dividers, it is going to be oh so amazing!!! It also has a pen holder and all, so it is pretty amazing!!

I am very excited to set this up, and start to plan things, I will try and do photo step by step as I set it up!

I will be drawing my own diary pages, maybe doing some doodles too so it will be Dodo padish maybe? But in an Imysworld way!!!

I just had to share my purchase with you as I am so excited to use it!!!

The paper seems lovely too touch, it is 100gsm which is good :-) And I need to take out alot of the pages as I do not need to carry that much.

I am planning on having the following sections:

Diary

Planning - Youtube, Blog, Travel etc

Lists

 Need to think about the other sections, but I am going to do the tabs using sticky notes to make it easy to change!

I am seriously so excited about all this!!! I hope you enjoy my little journey! I will try and make a Youtube video about the whole thing too!!! :-)

No Shop update and a peak inside Staples Filofax section!

Bonjourno and welcome to Tearful Thursday!

Well its not tearful but I thought I would update you on my No Spend and show you what my Filofax section looks like in Staples and finally show you a new Filofax that they had in the shop I took a few photos but could not photo the insides as they were covered up! Will explain in all good time!

Just one notification – According to Lord Dodo and my Dodo pad, Monday 18 is International go up the wrong escalator day! So if anyone lives in London I believe that’s the perfect place to try on the underground ;-)

So to the point in hand, my Fab Frugal challenge is going well! I have had a little slip up today but in theory it isn’t as much as its something I need and also something I ran out of! You will see at the bottom! I have been pretty good and have had lots of lovely help from @sjl1974!! Thank you so much! She’s helped me not buy magazines and whatnots! I will do a full update, I feel so proud with my progress!!

I'm really proud of this so far I need to update since lunch time though!

So the lovely Filofax section in my Staples looks a bit like this, I'm quite impressed and feel proud to say that this is the best Filofax Section in Cornwall, unless anyone knows of a better one, I would love to know!

In an ideal world I wish there was more of a variety of inserts! Its mainly just line paper that’s it :-( which is slightly disappointing and no Maldens to look at!!! Else I would have had on AGES ago!

Then out of the corner of my eye I noticed a second display, it was different to the other Filofax bits, colourfuler prettier in a way! (Do not worry its still Filofax)!!

Oh and there are NO Flex displays in my Staples which I was surprised about!

Then I looked around the other side and noticed they had a pink version of the Olympics Filofax (I think of this Filofax as more of a Fun Fax, I went to look at them the other day and oh my they have changed, I will go in Waterstones one day and take some photos)! Well the inside looks very nice! I was surprised, its very bent at the bottom isn’t it, I kind of want to buy one to inspect the inside and learn more, I couldn’t take the cellophane off I'm too innocent and good, I am not too rebellious when it comes to things like that!

I'm looking forward to inspecting more in to this!!! It’s the personal size btw!

The inside looks so bright why don’t they make like a college organiser insert set, I think they need a colour injection in some of the Filofax things! What do you think?

There were so many on display I can see they might not sell! (only as in where I live as I'm down the end of no where).

Pocket ones, which I ideal for the Olympics easily portable but personal is better for the general sizeness I believe!

If I was going to the Olympics I would 100% buy one of these and then use the stuff in side in my Malden or something? I think I would feel a little silly carrying it! But it looks like I want to buy another one, more for being nosey than anything…I wonder if Filofax will be realising another insert set like the city pack but for the Olympics (closer to the time probably if they do?)

Finally on to my purchase! I bought 3 things that were good priced!

I bought two eraser things for fountain pens ive been wanting some for ages but could not justify spending £1 on just one, but these were 35p for two!!! Then I thought I will look around for some help to find Lamy cartridges, no one to be seen anywhere, then I spotted the clearance, bad move, but they had parker pen cartridges for £1.50 for 15! And I need some so I thought I cannot miss that chance, mines nearly ran out and I have none left, I should be able to claim them back off my boss too, hopefully but he is away for a few weeks!

Lastly I bought a white notepad that is boxed as I want something to do my budgeting on clearer they cost £2.49, and the finance pages costed the same, I swear in WHSmiths they were only £1.99, I should of asked my lovely new Stationery friend at Martin Luck how much they would sell them for!

So I haven’t been too bad with the NO SPEND!!!! I bought things I needed and things to keep me better organised with my money so not too bad, I was tempted by a new BIC 4 colour pen, the fashion version, it was in a new pen grip and was so tempted it was £2.50 but I thought I have this pen already and I have 20-30 pink and blue ones so I have no need! And they had my favorite pen for 84p on sale and I thought oooo should I buy but I said no! So I have been not too bad!

So better go for now, knitting lessons tonight with the lovely Ohlittlecloud! YAY!!!

P.s I claimed the £1.50 out of petty cash as i usually order my cartridges off the stationery company website.....
