Mulberry Postmans Lock - Issues

This is just because I wanted to continue on from a previous post about the Mulberry Agenda, where I was talking about why I probably shouldn't choose an Agenda with a Postmans Lock, well now I have some picture proof of mine.

Untitled

With a lot of use the lock gets very scratched and looks untidy and sad, it just does not stay looking beautiful, I know with age things can look nice but this looks tired and scratched, its the only thing I dislike about Dora.

But just think how much my agenda is going to be open and closed, therefore I believe it would be best to go for one of the lower priced organisers, as I will still love it, and use it to death it will just stay looking prettier for longer, as my Postmans lock on young Dora started to age after 2 months of use, I am not sure if that is a common thing but I didn't want to take it to be fixed or anything as I feel it would loose the value to me, not value in cost but how I feel when I use it, and how it makes me feel to hold, just the sentimental value. If that makes any sense  I may need to take her in to have the seal around the edge fixed though as it has come apart and looks a bit sad. But I am scared too. I love her too much!

On another point, I need to point something out:

Untitled

Last year Filofax sent me a beautiful Osterley, and people seemed to not like that fact. But I just wanted to let you know I am still using her, not for every day use but for looking after last years diary etc so I can look at it etc... I will never sell this Osterley due to the fact she has perfect rings, and that is a hard thing to come by these days, which makes her ever more special to me.

Also, quite often when I get a Filofax for free I also get one to give away to the people who read my blog, and I need you all to remember you do quite often get something out of reading my blog whether it be a prize in a competition or it be something that could of helped you in your Filofax, but you do get something. When ever I get the chance I hold competitions for you all. This wont change but some of your attitudes need to change big time.

I have never put a gun to anyone's head, or forced anyone to do something, so don't make it out like I have.

I put a lot of time and effort in to my blog, and most often ask for so little back. Therefore in future THINK BEFORE YOU TYPE, and if you want to say something to me rather than hide behind an anonymous name say it to my face, after all there are a lot more people that support me than don't.

If you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all.

Do good things and good things will happen, do bad things and bad things will happen, Its Karma.

The Chosen One

Sorry for the lack of Blog Posts, I have not had much time. I had a good Christmas but life has gone back to the usual shit now, I am not feeling my usual self.

Now to the post.

As you all know I have been deciding between the Pocket Cross and Personal Osterley.

Well the winner (as you all expected) is Personal Osterley!!!

Winner

And the winning Diary inserts is....

Winner

This is my combination for 2013, I will not change it unless the Filofax its self breaks, then I am alowed to replace it, most likley for a different brand. Maybe a Louis Vuitton...

As I have decided on this Filofax I now have a 2013 Pocket Cross in Barbie Pink for sale (what a surprise)

Comparison between my personal and pocket Filofax!

It is in pretty much PERFECT condition, I was very surprised when I received it. (I am selling due to not wanting to have something else there to use)

It is for sale at £30 then the cost of postage to where ever you are in the world.

That is the price I bought it for and as I have not used it I believe it is fair to sell it for the same price.

If you are interested please let me know.

filofaximy@live.com

I may end up selling the Regency as well as I do not need it and it has sat in the box for a few months now (it is brand new as I had a replacement due to faulty rings).

I will try to post more regularly!

Should I stay or Should I go?

I bought a beautiful Osterley in City Organiser, but unfortunately, it has a bit of a ring issue!!

I am going to return or exchange it next Monday/Tuesday in the shop as I will be in London. But here is my issue! I kind can't keep all my Filofaxes as it is necessary, and I am kind of going off Filofaxes due to the ring issues, and just genearlly feeling unhappy with Filofax as a whole so I was thinking of trying a Midori Travelers Notebook as a Diary notebook etc, and I had the idea of using a small bulldog clip at back with some pink paper for to-do lists so I can remove them once they are cleared etc, so there would be nothing that would need tearing out as such. Obviously would end up going to A Filofax one day but would like to try that theory out.

So here are the options for you to choose and vote for below:

Option 1 - Exchange Osterley, Sell Amazona and Finchley on blog/eBay

Option 2 - Return Osterley, use either Amazona, Finchley or Regency and maybe sell one?

Option 3- Sell two Filofaxes, Keep Osterley and buy a Midori and try that idea out?

Please vote below and tell me your opinions in the comments!

Which of the options should I choose?

City Organiser - Philofaxy Meet up HAUL!!!

I went to look at 3 Filofaxes that were purple...

The Aston
The Malden
The Osterley

IMG_3024

Here is me looking at them....

I thought about it for a while and decided that the Aston WAS NOT FOR ME! It was like the Finchley but a strange colour and just generally not for me. That went straight back on the shelf and downstairs went....

Tracy, Me, Malden, Osterley & Holborn...

I looked at them for ages and made a decision....

I also did buy diary inserts.... 2 Days to a Page and Month to View... my standard layout, I have used it on and off for two years now, so that kind of proves it is the format that works best for me!

Here is what I bought...

Untitled

It comes in a box, so you already know what it is.

The reason is the Malden had a weird stiff back, it would not lay flat even if you tried to teach it, it was just as if there was something to reinforce it and stop it laying like a Malden should, I looked at a lot of them before I decided....

I inspected them all to find the most "perfect" one for me.. but it was just too stiff...

What is left then?? Of course..... THE OSTERLEY!!!!!
