Cult Pens Haul - OHTO Smile Slide Clips

My Coleto has ran out of black ink, I wanted to get a different pink to try as well, so I went on my favorite  pen site EVER CULT PENS I then saw something that I shouldn't of! Thanks to seeing this thing, which is something I love so much in Yellow, I had to get something else, I realise I am being very cryptic here but you will see in a minute!

Your eyes do NOT deceive you! They really are on my work desk. I may own 30+ yellow Smile Slide Clips but what is another 20? I do not want to give you the link as I want to own all the ones in the world, but I am sure you will find it quite easily on Cult Pens therefore I guess I might as well just give you the link. I will try and buy more ASAP!!!! I want to buy another 30+ I would love to buy 100!!!! That would work out at... £36.00. I did not buy any green ones though, I am not a green person as much!!!  But I will own some at some point.

I love my Zebra Sharbo X BUT....

I recently bought the Zebra Sharbo X Multipen from Cult Pens and I did a review on Ray's blog I bought the 3 way one, which I have in it the JSB Gel 0.5mm refill which I also buy from Cult Pens I know there is a huge range of D1 refills I could use but I really love this refill, it comes in Black, Blue and Red, I use Black and Blue and a B 0.5mm Pencil.

I really am in love with this pen!

When I grow up I want to own the Sharbo X Premium!

I find my writing is neat small and cute with this pen I have no issues with the actual pen. Just look how beautiful she is...

Some people may say the pen is a little costly at just over £40 and then you have to buy a pencil mechanism etc, but I love the fact you make the pen  yours, no one else, exactly why I use my Filofax BUT there is one issue...

She costs a lot to run

This came in the post this morning, my 6th set of refills so far! (I mean I have bought 6 refills not 6 sets of refills)

Not cost effective at all but look how beautiful and smooth she writes, how could you hate her when it make it look so clear and easy to read! So for this reason I will carry on using her!

If anyone wants to try this pen out, and they want to try a cheaper option, one thing you can do is try the SHARBO DIARY PEN which is a fraction of the price at £12.82 and try the JSB GEL 0.5mm ZEBRA REFILL I know at £4.07 they are pricey, but oh so worth it! The Diary pen only holds one pen and a 0.5mm pencil, I used this pen for ages and loved every minute of it, you can buy a standard 0.7mm Ballpoint refill which is £4.99 for a pack of 10 and these last for ages!

But this pen is such an amazing pen even though it is so costly I would recommend it to anyone in a heart beat!

Lamy Fountain Pen Nib Confusion???

A while back I was sent a Lamy Safari in Pink as I had been wanting one for so long, I was a bit down at the time and one of my Twitter friends said they would send me theirs as they didn't use it. It was amazing when it arrived, it came with a pink Moleskine notebook and some pink ink, which was more purple, but still adorable!

I loved the pen so much, but then one day I noticed the Nib said F (Fine) so I decided to test it against my M (Medium) Blue Lamy Safari, which I had bought a few months prior to receiving my Pink Safari, which I love.

You can just about see the M, but you cannot really see the F

Pink = F
Blue = M

I did a little writing test with the Lamy's below...

There is hardly any difference, not enough for it to be noticeable when I am writing normally.

Has anyone else had this issue??

Is the Extra Fine noticeably finer??

Copic Glitter Pens Review

I bought this Glitter Pen at the same time I bought my Zebra Sharbo X as I really wanted to try it out I had seen it a few times and I was really interested as to how it would write and how much glitter would come out as it was not a gel pen, it is a marker pen (which seems seriously bazar).

I bought it from Cult Pens as usual with all my pen purchases (No I am not paid to say that, I wish I was, but I am not)

I went for the Pink colour.

The barrel says "Twinkling like stars" I got all excited when I read that and I was thinking, this will be the most sparkly pen ever. But it was not as sparkly as I expected!

I know the title says Copic Glitter Pens, but looking at the barrel of the pen it says Copic NO WHERE, so I am confused, it does say Top Marker Products a few times, but usually it has at least the brand on the barrel somewhere!

They are made in Japan, which means that they will be ultra magical (as Japan, Korea and China seem to come up with the best stationery!) so I was all set up for an AMAZING experience, you would think wouldn't you!

On the Cult Pens website it has an explanation behind the "at you spica"...

The pen revels in the name 'atyouSpica'! A sparkling piece of translated Japanese - although atyouSpica sounds like a heads-up to a Greek footballer, Spica is in fact a bright star in the constellation of Virgo and gives rise to the pen's slogan - 'Twinkling Like Stars!'. 

Which is interesting.... 

It does not say as to the point of the pen, but at a guess I would say 1.00mm - 0.7mm?  

Here is how it writes, I will let you all think about the sparkle before I say anything...

There is a tiny hint of glitter if you look up close, maybe it gets glittery over drying time? I am not all too sure, I do love how it writes though, it feels so natural. I am planning on buying a Dark Blue and Black one to try using as normal pens as I feel they would be lovely for writing in my Filofax!

There is a hint of sparkle but not enough! So if you are buying these to sparkle don't expect too much, but if you are buying them for writing then do!!! You never know the other colours could be sparkier I AM HOPING!!! I will update you!

Gelly Roll Moonlight Pen Review

I bought these pens from Cult Pens a few months back as I loved the idea of having some neon gel pens, I get so distracted from what I go to buy on Cult Pens EVERY time and end up ordering a lot of random pens, which you shall see in the coming weeks! I thought I would blog about them!

Here they are in all their glory:

They are so cute and feel very nice to hold, I like the way how the cap acts as a way to stop them from rolling away, as pens that are usually completely round roll away from me all the time!

I did also buy a florescent Orange pen as well, but this seems to of been misplaced! (INSERT SAD FACE)

Their nibs are apparently a 1.00mm ball with a 0.5mm line, but I would say the line was more 1.00mm or 0.7mm at the smallest, it does not compare to any of my 0.5mm pens at all, it is a lot thicker!

On the Cult Pens site it says "Ultra vivid, opaque ink colors on white or dark paper" but to be honest, I have found that some of the colours are a bit dull, I just saw this "Fluorescent colours glow under ultra-violet light" and that makes me excited, but honestly, I am not often near a black light with my Filofax to test this out....I have always been tempted to own a black light tho.... interesting! 

The green seems to be the flattest colour, where as the Yellow is the brightest it would appear it needs to be used on a darker page! Not that I have tried it yet, and the yellow seems to leave extra ink behind which you can see below. 

 

It can sometimes take a while for them to dry!

Apparently according to the website the normal pens are fad resistant but these neon ones which I have bought fade in direct sunlight, just if you wanted to know. 

They do not show through on most paper as it states on the website they are pretty good for that, I have written on Filofax paper and some of the colours show through but they don't necessarily bleed through its just the high pigment and the fact the paper is very thin it kind of shines through in light, if you get what I am saying?

Overall I really like these pens! And would definitely recommend them, but I would say get more standard colours like black and blue as they feel very nice to write with and I think they would be really good pens to use normally!
